Backed by the BFI Film Fund and Film4, and developed with support from both Film4 and the BFI, The Selfish Giant is a Moonspun Films production. After premiering at Cannes in the Director's Fortnight in May 2013, it will be released in the UK by Artificial Eye on November 15th.

Plot:
The selfish giant is a contemporary fable about 13 year old Abour and his best friend Swifty. Excluded from school and outsiders in their own niehgbour hood, the two boys meet Kitten, a local scrapdealer, and begin to emulate Kitten by becoming greedy and exploiative, tension soon starts to build leading to a tragic event which transforms them all.
